Tshwaraganang is a registered non-profit organisation situated in Temba, Hammanskraal. The organisation was established in 2002 and was officially registered in 2004 with the social department. Tshwaraganang provides shelter for and care for orphaned, abused, abandoned, neglected and also HIV/AIDS infected children.

Tshwaraganang takes care of 100 orphans/ needy families and child headed household around the community of Hammanskraal.

Tshwaraganang currently has 56 children living in the centre. The organisation also offers counselling services, help in the acquiring of social grants and ID documents, registering of learners at school, youth development and skills programs. They also reach out to needy families around the community of Hammanskraal.

 Tshwaraganang has more 56 children under care. The children are between the age of 2 months- 18 years of age.

Apex Multi-Purpose centre was established in 2009 and duly registered as a non-profit organisation. It was conceptualized to respond to an increased social problems resulting from HIV/AIDS pandemic our societies. HIV/AIDS is a serious disease that affect our communities in many ways. Our basic research indicated that many of those affected by HIV/AIDS perish because of lack of knowledge and information about the pandemic.

Apex currently runs as multi purpose centre situated in Ruimsig informal settlement. It provides the following services in line with the social department:

  • Home nursing
  • Day care
  • Treatment and support

This is to ensure that people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS receive essential services and most importantly that their dignity is restored.

To provide emotional, moral, physical and spiritual support and uplift those affected and infected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

To define the impact of HIV/AIDS and educate the infected as we provide assistance.


  • To provide awareness campaign in communities.
  • To provide a drop-in-centre
  • To collect medication from Hospitals and clinics for those bedridden and frail patience.
  • To promote disciplined behavioral change and responsible lifestyle amongst those affected by HIV/AIDS
